7/5/04 - Summer Cleaning Worked on some broken links in The Mod Resource and realized how outdated most of that stuff was. Went through and fixed a whole bunch of broken links... a lot are still down and I could not find a trace to follow, so... sorry about that!

4/3/02 - Updated T2 Maps Today I uploaded a new version of IceLand by RavensBro, yesterday I put up an updated DesertRain. Both maps can be found with RavensBro's Tribes 2 maps.
3/26/02 - I am quite possibly the worst gamer of all time...procrastinating on another paper, played for about an hour tonight. Know what my score was at the end of the game? 16. I suck really bad, got trashed all over the place by the (MA) guys. I hung out in the basement defending my team's generators for the last few minutes and saw zero action which I guess is better for my team since I usually killed myself anyway. The game was sweet though, one of our guys carried the flag all the way back to the base...and then died. I flew out from the basement just in time to see a defending heavy carry the flag to our stand with under 10 seconds left -- final score: 415 to 412. My team wins. Not that I had anything to do with it, but yeah. Later.
3/25/02 - Nothing much I played pretty bad tonight. I think that's what happens when you only play once a month or so...but that's the great thing about games. Today's shout outs go to the guys who were kicking my butt: SneakyMcPokePoke and Goombastomper. Also tdogg and FatesWarning[Inq] came in at the end of the last game to drag my team to victory. Keep up the good work, fellas -- tough, friendly gamers are what keep the community going!
2/3/02 - Tale of Battle Ah yes, Dust to Dust. The dry air, sandy terrain, sparse cacti. I've always hated that map! Played some Tribes 2 tonight for the first time in awhile, and it was a blast. A 2 on 4 game, and I was on the team with 2 people...but to the credit of the Phoenix team, one of their 4 "men" was a BOT. I finished the game with 450 points, the best I've done in some time - and although the score wouldn't indicate it, it was a close fight. Now I remember why these games are so much fun. 1/10/02 - New Year, time for NEWS! Finally (and by finally, I mean used friggin' notepad because nothing else works with WinXP) have some RavensBro updates for everyone! RavensBro has been running 2 servers, one for Tribes and one for Tribes 2. Both servers are named "RavensBro Maps" and are a great way to play against other fans of his maps! He also updated maps to accomodate for the latest patch, and has 2 new maps -- check the RavensBro T2 page to check 'em out. Thanks!

10/2/01 - New T2 Map RavensBro sent in a new Tribes 2 map today, it's a variant of his TwoLakes map. He got some requests for a daylight version of the map and you can get it here now...
9/22/01 - CG Census 2001 Click the "Filelist" link in the left frame to get the goods. Finally I got around to counting up all the downloads, and I'm well on my way to actually having links to every single file on the site integrated into a single page. The real challenge was the navigation for such a page but I think I've got it figured out, the best of all worlds. Every file on the same page, but with navigation simplified so that you don't have to scroll for hours looking for everything. I will try to get the complete Crazy Goat file collection added soon, and I plan to do some bigger zip files of maps and such. Until then...
9/18/01 - Put RavensBro's T2 maps into a table, the page was just looking too stretched out but I think it looks much nicer now. The Goat Census should be coming soon...I have been planning it for awhile and now that I have CoffeeCup HTML Editor 9.0 I'm sure I could make it a very worthwhile addition. As soon as I've got some spare time I'll get right to that - as for now, I have a TON of homework that I should have started a couple hours ago.
9/13/01 - RavensBro just keeps plugging away. He sent me 2 more maps for Tribes 2, which have been added now. And this has already been said a thousand times but cannot be said enough: God bless the souls of the innocents killed by Tuesday's acts of terrorism. 8/25/01 - I'm still Alive Yes, it has been over 2 months since I updated. But for once, that doesn't mean there is nothing new to look forward to here at Crazy Goat Tribes! I recently moved into a dorm for my freshman year of college, so things have been hectic. The good news is, now I have a monster connection. I intend to use this to mirror some of the larger mods that I formerly was incapable of uploading. Thus far I have mirrored Havoc and Anarchy. New RavensBro maps (this time for T2!) will be up very, very soon:-)
6/12/01 Fixed some old links today, should have a new computer soon! Ordered a loaded Dell 8100 for college, looking forward to the upgrade. Considering buying Tribes 2 but I'm not sure...I lost my Tribes CD somehow so I might just shell out $10 for a new copy at Wal-Mart. I'd love to see what it looks like outside of software mode!
5/6/01 - Phew... Alright I'm pretty sure that was too close of a call. Congrats to TribalWar on their newfound server independence! And thanks to Bacchus for making the transition fairly painless. Now, to see if I can actually get all this to work.

3/23/01 - Made some additions to The Mod Resource. Noticed on PSS for the first time today that Tribes 2 will be out the very beginning of April, too bad my computer couldn't handle it and I've got no money! It also is a shame that I highly doubt that I would have time to maintain a T2 site...although I have considered it. Anyway, what's here is what's here, I will try to continue updating should the opportunity arise. Last I saw it looked like Crazy Spawne was doing a pretty good job of stealing my content/ideas anyway, so I doubt if it'd be worth the trouble=)
3/20/01 - The big....25,000? I was happy to see today that the site had gotten 25 thousand hits! Also, I would like to wish the best of luck to the Miami East men's basketball team. Thursday they will play in the Ohio DIII state semifinal game. Should they win, it will be onward to the state final on Saturday. No one reading this knows what I'm talking about, but who cares...GO VIKINGS!!

12/23/00 - Merry Christmas!The big idea I just recently came up with is as follows: with T2 on the horizon, many T1 mods are bound to be forgotten. Popularity will decrease, updates will grind to a halt. This is perfectly normal - after all, who wants to play the older game once the new one is out? But if there's one thing I hate, it's broken links. That's why I want T1 modders to know I'm willing to adopt their mod into my site with just one email to me (click on Goatboy above), rather than have their angelfire, tripod, geocities, etc. site go dead. I will do everything I can to see that for many months to come, Tribes fans will be able to come to Crazy Goat Tribes and find any mod they want, no hassle. This game has a great online community, and I know you all will help me out:-) Also, anyone who has or knows of a mod not listed on The Mod Resource, drop me a line with a link and I'll fix ya right up!
12/7/00 - RavensBro, cont'd... That's right, even more great maps from RavensBro, only here at Crazy Goat Tribes! His latest maps, SpaceFort and SeekAndFind, bring his CTF map total up to 50! Go to RavensBro Central for those files today, also I updated the CTF map pack so the latest files are included. And for ppl who may have had trouble downloading his Duel maps...well I screwed that section up big time, but fear not, RavensBro clued me in and it's all fixed now! And yeah, I do plan to update The Mod Resource eventually...

11/26/00 - Waiting IS the Hardest Part... Just saw at planetstarsiege that Tribes 2 was voted #1 in PCGamer magazine's most recent "Waiting is the Hardest Part" article. I do know of a couple people who will go insane if T2 isn't out by Christmas...Hey wait, I made an update too! Ok well it's nothing big, but if you check out the FunGuns section you'll find 'FlagRunners', he sent me that awhile back and I finally posted it. 11/21/00 - No news... Hey there really hasn't been much news to report lately. T2 will be coming out soon and I am ticked at my computer for not being able to handle it (namely at my crappy ATI 4 meg graphics chip integrated into the motherboard). All I can say is check TribalWar for new screenies as often as possible. Also Tribes2.com has more and more kewl stuff all the time, so it'd be smart to stop by there for your T2 fix. 10/9/00 - More RavensBro Goodness...earlier RavensBro sent me updated versions of a LOT of his maps as well as a new map, BigArenaCTF. So those are up now, plus check the RavensBro Clientside/Custom section for 7 new TeamDM maps.
9/30/00 - That's embarassing I was working on the other two RavensBro sections (ClientSide/Dueling Maps, Skins) when I noticed that ALL of the links on the RavensBro mapping section were wrong! I uploaded all the files, but didn't link to the correct directory on the page. Also I realized that some of the map names were hard to read due to the background of the table, so I changed it - now the map name is highlighted on mouseover. Hopefully those are the only problems I had, anyway they are fixed now, the rest of the RavensBro stuff should go up today:-)

7/16/00 - YokTuki back from the dead!!(but it's just temporary:-)...well today i had nobody to talk to so i figured i'd play some Tribes (for like the first time in 4 months:( and the first server i tried to connect to was version 1.11....so of course i can't connect because i'm at version 1.10.5, at first i thought mebbe i'd just never installed the update on my own machine but then i realized it wasn't up here either!! needless to say i had to make this ONE FINAL addition, geeze those dynamix guys just never no when to quit updating;-) well here is the latest patch, plus i understand Tribes2.com is online, everyone should check that out. oh yes, and while i was at it i put up a new quote for your enjoyment, plz sign the guestbook if you haven't already...thanks!
6/22/00 - Sheesh it's been almost a month since the last news item...sorry, I've been getting worse all the time. I put up the last few FunGuns maps; don't let my lack of enthusiasm fool you because they're all great. I'm sure you folks noticed that Crazy Goat Tribes (and the Tribes universe in general) has started to wind down. This will be my final entry. The Mod Resource is just plain huge, I've got more maps than I care to count, plus Tribes Invaders is a fun exclusive, there's a helpful scripts section - so on and so forth. Make sure you scavenge the entire site for every last fun-filled item :-) Thanks to everyone who contributed to, helped publicize, and heck even to anyone who visited and appreciated Crazy Goat Tribes. I consider it a success seeing as I spent exactly $0 making it and taught myself HTML along the way thanks to my uncle. I'll be signing off now...

3/14/00 - Happy Pi Day! (don't ask) Slowly but surely, I'm gettin the Balanced maps up. I added four today, also you can find the usual updates to The Mod Resource, latest version of VIP, Havoc, Screaming Fist, etc.
3/7/00 - Super Tuesday update... Alright this doesn't actually have anything to do with the elections but I just wanted to say that. I started work on Tribe/S/earch, the Tribes search engine! Although only the tribalwar sites and the tribes-universe frontpage have been spidered as of now, the engine is working so I posted it in case anybody wants to take it for a spin.
3/4/00 - Laugh, dang it! Added a couple new minor features to the site to spiff things up a bit. The Mod Resource has gotten so big now (60 entries as of today) that it takes awhile to find stuff. So, I put in a link scroller at the top which will allow you to download the newest and most recently updated mods immediately, you don't have to tell me I know I'm some kind of genius.....lol. Oh yeah, also I started "quote of the week" on the intro page so people have a reason not to skip it (aside from the fact that it just looks so cool:). Each week - or however often I remember - I'll put up a different humorous anecdote. Sorry bout the big words, anecdote is just a funny word (but not as funny as European;).

2/4/00 - PC Gamer Awards: I got the newest PC Gamer today, their 6th Annual Awards results are in it. Tribes was awarded runner-up for Best Multiplayer Game of 1999. It also gained recognition for Special Achievement in Innovation. Eat that, Q3 Arena!
2/3/00 - 1.10 PATCH RELEASED! Get the latest (and probably final) version of Tribes from the scripts/patches area today!
1/31/00 - Killed off the non-frames version of the site today. I doubt anyone really cares, the framed version is easier to use anyway. Keeping up with two different versions of the page just would not have been humanly possible. Speaking of which, I added Spoonbot for the StarWars mod, Hard Corps, and STARmod to The Mod Resource. Look for the Balance maps soon.

1/4/00 - A big day This is one we've been looking forward to for a looong time. Noodles has released the StarWars: Battleground mod! Get it from the mod page first chance you get. You will now also find the first half of the OpenCall maps on the map pages. For those of you who never downloaded the whole pack, now you can check out descriptions and screens, then download them individually!
1/3/00 - That seems weird.. even though it's a year until the new millenium and all the Y2K hype was crap (told you so:), it does seem odd to have double zeros for the date. Anyway, the new versions of StarSiegeCraft, Professional, and Tribes Arena are up. As for the OpenCall map reviews, it'll be a day or two before the first batch gets posted. Compared to the usual single-digit zip files maps come in, these babies are huge!

12/8/99 - WWW Tribes news: Well I know this is too little too late, but thought I should put an update for those of you who have been under a rock somewhere for the past week or two. The former Planet-Tribes staff has opened Tribal War, Tribes Extreme has been cancelled, and Datumplane is closing down! This is all old news so I'm assuming you've heard it already, but like I said I had to post something about all this important stuff. I personally didn't care much about Tribes Extreme to begin with, but as for Schnoz at datumplane and the Tribal War guys, best of luck to all of you.
12/6/99 - Sorry it's been so long, I've had a lot going on. Lots of new stuff added today, S4L mod and StarSiegeCraft, plus new version (1.2) of the Professsional Mod. Also got an update from Duke, this is really cool. Searches_End (one of his maps) now includes custom turrets, look for even more from him soon.
11/23/99 - Updates: Added 2 new maps, "Track_16" and "Xenophobe", added TeamDM mod to list, increasing the total mods listed to 42.
